I am a Senior Lecturer (equivalent to Associate Professor in North America) in Cyber Security & Software Systems with the School of Computing Technologies at RMIT University. My research asks what large-scale AI systems remember, — and how that memory can be audited and revoked at a cost that holds from the datacentre down to the device. My current interests include Machine Unlearning and Model Memorization, Privacy and Security of LLM Serving Systems (KV and semantic caching, retrieval augmentation), Agent Memory, Provenance, and Accountability across federated, edge, and on-device deployments.

I am a Senior Member of IEEE and a Member of ACM. I serve as an Associate Editor for IEEE Transactions on Dependable and Secure Computing (TDSC), IEEE Transactions on Mobile Computing (TMC) and IEEE Transactions on Services Computing (TSC), and as a Review Board Member of IEEE Transactions on Parallel and Distributed Systems (TPDS). I co-organize the ACM Workshop on Large AI Systems and Models with Privacy and Security Analysis (LAMPS) and IEEE World Congress on SERVICES in 2026.

I am actively looking for self-motivated Ph.D. students with interests in machine unlearning, the privacy and security of LLM serving systems, on-device and edge LLMs, etc.

For project-funded (scholarship) positions, I look for:

  1. A solid computer science background, with a GPA of 3.5/4.0 or above (or equivalent).
  2. At least one first-author paper in a CORE A*/A conference or a CCF-A venue.
  3. English proficiency equivalent to IELTS 6.5 overall, with no band below 6.0.
  4. Preferred (not required): Experience in security or privacy research, hands-on systems engineering, CTF or vulnerability research, or reproducing published attacks.
